Hi,

I own a number of domains that I would like to just ‘point’ or alias my main domain.  At some point in the future, some of these domains may be split out into their own web sites – for the moment I would like web traffic and emails to alias their counterparts.

Setup would be:

Main Domain: Dotnetnuke site
About 6 other domains that would point to this one site

Currently, the domains are managed by a mix of companies, and my current web ISP.  I would like to re-delegate all these domains so that they are managed within the Expressnet Environment (I have had issues with nameservers changing, etc, and want this all under one roof).

At this point the web traffic is fairly minimal, but important (mainly project management rather than consumer).  I probably only need your Bronze hosting, with potentially an upgrade later.

Could you please let me know:
a)      If this is possible
b)      How would you manage the move with minimal disruption to normal operations (email and web)
c)       What would be the additional cost for you to manage the move (web site, domains, etc.)

 Thanks!

a) Yes this is all possible.

b) The first step is to add each domain that you wanted to host with us to the control panel, then create a website for the base domain. You can then move a copy of the DNN files and DB over to our system. We can then give you a temp domain name that you can use to verify that the DNN portal is working. Then you can add the other domains as aliases (if not already done) into the DNN portal alias list. Then from the control panel you can configure whatever email accounts and email forwarding (for the alias domains) that you need. If you want to transfer the domains to Expressnet, you can either change the nameservers first using the other companies systems, or transfer them to us then change the nameservers. The transfer will take aprox 5 - 7 business days.

c) Do you require us to configure the DNN portal aliases and email accounts? If so then I'd need to know how many email accounts there are for each domain. Restoring the DNN site and some quick setup in the control panel we can help with free of charge.

Send your domain details to support@expressnet.com.au and we can help you get this setup.

Regards
